As part of a family business and our desire to establish Casa di Fiore Spa and Medical Hotel 5* as a preferred Medical and Spa destination, satisfying the needs of current generations with a thought for future ones, we have always embraced the concept of sustainable development and progress.

Our mission is to provide you with a different and exciting vacation, but with the sustainable use of local natural resources (mineral water, mud, etc.), stepping on the traditions of the local community and culture, while using processes of innovation to preserve the ecological environment around us. We believe that our current management decisions guarantee social responsibility and environmental protection.

Goals

Realizing our responsibility to nature and future generations, we aim to:

To achieve our goals, we have built systems in the following areas:

Energy

• 🌿 Most of the energy in the hotel for heating and cooling comes from our own energy sources (solar panels and a smart program for energy use and redistribution).


• 🌿 The heating of the mineral water in our pools is mostly generated from our own energy.


• 🌿 We have built systems for the separate heating and cooling of different rooms in the hotel, horizontally and vertically.


• 🌿 All light bulbs in the hotel are energy-saving.


• 🌿 Our external facade lighting is coordinated to switch on and off according to the light and dark parts of the day.


• 🌿 Implementation of a system to automatically turn off electricity via access bracelets in unoccupied rooms.


• 🌿 Annual maintenance of all electrical appliances to achieve maximum operating efficiency.


• 🌿 During periods of low occupancy, certain parts of the hotel are not heated or lit.

A scheduled system has been established for the operation of facilities in the thermal zone (saunas and steam bath).

Waste and Recycling

• 🌿 Separate waste collection.


• 🌿 Recycling of cooking oil.


• 🌿 Replacing printed paper materials with digital ones.

Water

• 🌿 Optimizing the washing of towels and bed linen.


• 🌿 Purchasing faucets and showerheads with aerators.


• 🌿 Daily monitoring of all systems – pools, showers, faucets, and water meters for leaks and water loss.


• 🌿 Optimizing the operation of washing machines and dishwashers.


• 🌿 System for refilling indoor and outdoor pools with mineral water depending on the hotel's occupancy.

Responsible Consumption

• 🌿 We have our own farm for meat products and encourage the use of products from local producers.


• 🌿 Developing a responsible purchasing policy.


• 🌿 Using certified products.

Guest Contribution

• 🌿 We stimulate compliance with sustainability practices through innovative digital materials featuring AI consultants and QR codes.


• 🌿 We create Spa and Balneological programs with a sustainable focus on the use of natural resources.


• 🌿 We give guests the option to choose whether their towels are changed every day.


• 🌿 We advise guests to moderately consume food from our buffets to reduce food waste.


• 🌿 We provide the opportunity to use sustainable transport – we conduct our transfers with electric vehicles.

Over the last 4 years we managed to:
